ASSISTANT DIRECTOR / SENIOR EXECUTIVE / EXECUTIVE (SALES AND/OR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT)
Your main responsibilities are to develop new event segments, market and sell Singapore Expo as a multi-purpose venue offering integrated management services for exhibitions, conventions, seminars, banquets, concerts and other events. The key objective is to maximise occupancy and revenue in order to achieve the business targets of the company. You will need to establish and manage customer relationships and provide value-added services in order to generate new and repeat businesses. You will also be required to oversee the event from initial sales process to completion of the event.
Requirements:- Degree from a recognised university
- Degree in Business and / or Hospitality and Tourism preferred
- Minimum 4 years of sales and/or business development experience preferably in the hospitality and / or tourism industry for Assistant Manager position
- Minimum 3 years of sales and/or business development experience preferably in the hospitality and / or tourism industry for Senior Executive position
- Minimum 1 year of sales and/or business development experience preferably in the hospitality and / or tourism industry for Executive position
- Deep passion for sales and/or business development with a proven solid track record
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skill
- Meticulous, detailed, resourceful, independent and a good team player
- Willing and able to work long hours, when required
- Able to travel overseas, when required
MANAGER (MARKET RESEARCH)
Your responsibility is to conduct market research and analysis in the international meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (M.I.C.E.) markets with the objective of developing new business events and partnerships and soliciting sales leads. Your duties include creating and maintaining a database of potential organizers, ensuring that they are appropriately classified and easily accessible; data-mining to extract potential leads; telemarketing to qualify leads; supporting the sales department with relevant market information.
Requirements:- Degree preferably in business, marketing or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in research, analysis and data-mining
- Effective written and strong oral communication skills
- Basic telemarketing skills
- Resourceful, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Able to travel overseas
- Completed / exempted National Service
- Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) to liaise with Chinese clients and any other European languages would be an advantage
MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER / EXECUTIVE (FACILITIES MANAGEMENT)
You are to assist the Head of Facilities in facilities management. It includes the following:- Supervise facilities management and maintenance contractors
- Coordinate with various contractors / vendors and project team on A&A, improvement and upgrading works
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Facilities Management Department to ensure high standards of customer service
Requirements:- Degree / Diploma in Building Management or Mechanical &/or Electrical or Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience
- Able to work under pressure
- Leadership qualities
- Good communications & interpersonal skills
- Committed and able to work long hours
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
You will report and provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Office and leadership team.
Your responsibility includes, taking minutes of meetings, drafting letters, arrange travel bookings for management, maintain senior management's calendar, maintain senior management expenses claim, coordinate and collate all papers for board meeting, support management representative in preparing for ISO documentation, compiling and filing, screen telephone calls, letters and visitors and to assist in the marketing communications efforts.
Requirements:- Diploma with strong organisation and coordination skills
- Minimum 3 years secretarial experience
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written English and conversant in Mandarin
- Tactful, meticulous and able to multi-task
- Strong competence in MS Office applications
EVENT SERVICES EXECUTIVES
You are to assist the sales teams in the successful planning, organising, coordinating and executing of all events held in Singapore Expo including:- After-sales support - work closely with event organisers to plan and co-ordinate their events, perform service recovery and close loop on all event matters
- Operations - negotiate contracts and work with operations to fulfill event requirements
- Administration - ensure proper documentation of all charges and consolidate of invoices and purchase orders
Requirements:- Diploma or Degree, preferably in Business Admin or Hospitality / Tourism
- Minimum 1 year's relevant working experience
- Ability to attend to details, coordination, communication and time management skills, good telephone manners and PC skills
- Must be able to work long hours and under pressure
OPERATIONS EXECUTIVES
You will be responsible for the smooth operations of events under your charge and to ensure efficient, expedient and value add customer delivery service internally and externally.
You will maintain, schedule, upkeep, delivery and stock taking of logistical assets and support equipment for the centre.
Requirements:- Diploma in any discipline preferable with 2-3 years' relevant experience or technical background will be an advantage
- Computer literacy skills
- Effectively bilingual
- Good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Prepared to work long hours and on weekends
