ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (SALES)

Your responsibility is to lead sales team in maximising revenue and utilisation of Singapore Expo. Your job duties include strategising with Director (Sales) and Management to ensure objectives are met; to meet overall section revenue agreed with Management; Maintain good relationship and rapport with repeat and key customers; meet section’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in terms of revenue; Return of Sales (ROS); yield new accounts and new events / shows; and to increase occupancy and utilisation of halls.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Business and / or Hospitality and Tourism preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of sales experience in the hospitality and / or tourism industry
  • Deep passion for sales with a proven solid track record
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skill
  • Meticulous, resourceful, independent, a good team player and effective management of sales force
  • Willing and able to work long hours, when required
  • Able to travel overseas, when required

MANAGER (MARKET RESEARCH)

Your responsibility is to conduct market research in the international meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (M.I.C.E.) markets with the objective of soliciting sales leads. Your job duties include creating and maintaining a database of potential organisers, ensuring that they are appropriately classified and easily accessible; data-mining to extract potential leads; telemarketing to qualify leads; supporting the sales department with relevant market information.

Requirements:
  • Degree preferably in business, marketing or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in research and data-mining
  • Effective written and strong oral communication skills
  • Basic telemarketing skills
  • Resourceful, self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Able to travel overseas
  • Completed / exempted National Service
  • Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) to liaise with Chinese clients and any other European languages would be an advantage

SENIOR / EXECUTIVE EVENT SERVICES

You are to assist the sales teams in the successful planning, organising, coordinating and executing of all events held in Singapore Expo including:
  • After-sales support – work closely with event organisers to plan and co-ordinate their events, perform service recovery and close loop on all event matters
  • Operations – negotiate contracts and work with operations to fulfill event requirements
  • Administration – ensure proper documentation of all charges and consolidate of invoices and purchase orders

Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree, preferably in Business Admin or Hospitality / Tourism
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ of relevant working experience
  • Ability to attend to details, coordination, communication and time management skills, good telephone manners and PC skills
  • Must be able to work long hours and under pressure
