As Singapore becomes more COVID-resilient as a nation, it will further ease community measures with effect from 29 August 2022.
Below is a summary of the latest regulations that are relevant to Singapore EXPO and we recommend all visitors to observe them while visiting our venue:

UPDATED ADVISORY ON SAFE MANAGEMENT MEASURES FOR MICE EVENTS IN SINGAPORE
With effect from 26 April 2022, Singapore makes further progress towards living with COVID-19 with the latest relaxation of regulations on Safe Management Measures (SMMs) for *MICE Events. The information in this advisory supersedes that in previous advisories or statements.
The changes are:
*MICE events refer to business-oriented events such as meetings, incentive travel, conferences and exhibitions arranged or held in the course of business

UPDATED ADVISORY ON SAFE MANAGEMENT MEASURES FOR MICE EVENTS IN SINGAPORE
With effect from 15 March 2022, the Singapore government will implement streamlined Safe Management Measures (SMMs) as part of our transition to resilience, and to help organisers for *MICE events plan with these simplified measures.
The changes include:
1) Safe distancing between individuals or groups is encouraged but not required in all mask-on settings.
2) Mandatory safe distancing of at least 1 metre between groups of up to 5 participants for all mask-off settings e.g. during meals, unmasked speakers.
3) No zoning requirements.
4) No distinction between seated events (e.g. conferences) and roaming events (e.g. trade shows)
5) Live performances, where incidental, will be permitted.
6) Event capacity limit: for targeted attendees of >1,000 participants at a time, up to 50% of the venue capacity may be filled.
*MICE events refer to business-oriented events such as meetings, conferences and exhibitions arranged or held in the course of business with more than 50 participants which are not held for individual consumers or for employees of a single business entity to attend. MICE events with 50 participants or less do not require MTI’s approval. Permitted enterprises may proceed to organise the event and adhere to the SMMs at the Workplace by the Ministry of Manpower. Events that are substantially social, recreational, political or religious in character, such as company D&Ds or gala dinners, do not fall within the MICE events contemplated here.

On 1 January 2022, The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM) announced the relaxation of measures for corporate events, yet another sign that Singapore is transitioning to living with Covid-19.
Event size limits
MICE or business events with 50 participants or less do not require Pre-Event Testing (PET) and MTI's approval but must adhere to the Safe Management Measures (SMMs).
MICE events where participants are predominantly seated or standing in a fixed position during the session. (e.g., Meetings, conferences, and conventions): Up to 1,000 fully vaccinated participants at a time with no consumption of meals or beverages; in zones of up to 100 participants with SMM.
Companies will also be allowed to hold work-related events for up to 1,000 fully vaccinated people with same guidelines as for MICE events above.
MICE Events (including business events) where participants are predominantly non-seated and moving about during the session. (e.g., Exhibitions, networking sessions): Up to 500 fully vaccinated participants at a time, per session in zones of up to 100 participants with SMM.
Mice or business events, where more interactions between participants are expected, will continue to require special approval from MTI.

On 6 August 2021, as Singapore transits towards COVID resilience, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) announced easing of Safe Management Measures in two steps: the first will take effect from 10 August 2021 and the second is effective on 19 August 2021.
Event size limits
As of 19 August 2021:
MICE events with 50 participants or less do not require Pre-Event Testing (PET) and MTI's approval.
Events where participants are predominantly seated or standing in a fixed position during the session. (e.g. Meetings, conferences, and conventions): Up to 1,000 fully vaccinated participants at a time per session
Events where participants are predominantly non-seated and moving about during the session. (e.g. Exhibitions, networking sessions): Up to 500 fully vaccinated participants at a time, per session
Learn MoreOn 20 July 2021, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) announced further tightening community safe management measures by going back to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert). With effect from 22 July 2021 through 18 August 2021, the limit for in-person MICE event pilots will be capped at 100 pax with pre-event testing (PET) and up to 50 pax without PET for all (local and foreign) participants.
On 10 June 2021, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) announced updated safe management measures to allow gradual re-opening to Phase 3 (Heightened Alert). With effect from 14 June 2021, the limit for in-person MICE event pilots will be increased from 100 to 250 pax with pre-event testing (PET) and up to 50 pax without PET for all (local and foreign) participants.
